Mayor’s Appeal Hosts A Weekend Of Fundraising Events
The Mayor of Caerphilly county borough will be holding fundraising events on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
On Saturday 30th April at 7pm an evening of musical entertainment will be on offer at the Central Methodist Church, Blackwood.
During the evening, the audience will be entertained by performances from Blackwood United Church Choir, pupils of Lewis School Pengam, Daniel Cushing on the piano and organ, Aberbargoed Recorder Consort and Alice Mee-Bishop, a soloist performer.
Tickets cost £4 per person, which includes refreshments. Tickets purchased on the door.
The Mayor’s Appeal will also host a Community 115km Rowing Challenge at Tesco Ystrad Mynach. The challenge will be held on Saturday 30th April from 10am until 4pm and Sunday 1st May from 11am until 3pm.
Cllr Leon Gardiner, Mayor of Caerphilly county borough said: “I am delighted that two fantastic events have been organised in support of the charity appeal. Ty Hafan and Macmillan Cancer Support are two very worthy causes and I look forward to seeing how well attended the musical entertainment evening and rowing challenge are”.
