Newbridge School and Cwmcarn High School

An exciting new opportunity has emerged which will allow two local schools to work together in order to raise standards and improve educational provision for local children. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

It has been agreed that a new collaborative partnership will take place between Newbridge School and Cwmcarn High School. The current Head Teacher of Newbridge, Mrs Lesley Perry, will assume the executive Headship at both schools from Monday 15th February. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

This new arrangement will allow options to be explored in the future about the way in which the schools operate for the benefit of both school communities and the wider catchment area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Local Authority and the Education Achievement Service will work closely with the Leadership Teams at both schools over the coming months to ensure that appropriate support and guidance is provided as the operational details of this new arrangement are progressed. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
