Newbridge School Pupils Improve Their Local Environment
A group of pupils at Newbridge School helped spruce up their local community by planting daffodils on Wednesday 7 December.
A strip of barren ground next to Newbridge railway station was planted up with hundreds of spring flowers and formed part of a special clean up session in this area of the town. The pupils were supported by Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Tidy Towns Team.
Cllr. Nigel George, cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services said: “Caerphilly County Borough Council is continuing to work with local schools and volunteers to help make their environment a better place. The pupils from Newbridge School have portrayed a positive image of themselves and their school by improving a high profile area of their local community. They should all be very proud.”
