Star of 1970’s cult comedy The Goodies and regular panelist on BBC Radio 4’s ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue’, Tim Brooke-Taylor tells hilarious stories from a lifetime in comedy at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on Tuesday 21 March. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Tim Brooke-Taylor remains an influential and revered figure who has helped shape British comedy for more than fifty years alongside such greats as fellow Goodies Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden, Monty Python stalwarts John Cleese, Eric Idle and Michael Palin, satirist David Frost (That Was the Week That Was) and actor Richard O’Sullivan (Man About The House, Me & My Girl). ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

This unforgettable evening in the company of one of the funniest and best-loved comedy performers of our time includes a string of brilliant anecdotes – Tim’s hesitant start in comedy as a schoolboy-magician, playing golf with Sevvie Ballesteros, directing Orson Welles in a feature film and an encounter with Eric Morecambe on a beach in Portugal. The show is generously illustrated with clips of the funniest moments from his TV and film career. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Tickets cost £16.50 and are available from the box office on 01495 227206 or online on the BMI web page. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
