Park Primary Pupils Spruce Up Their Local Park
Pupils from Park Primary, Bargoed recently did their bit to make their local environment cleaner and greener.
With the help of Keep Wales Tidy and Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Community Cleansing Team, the group cleared litter and planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs in the wooded area of Bargoed Park.
Helen Lewis, Head Teacher of Park Primary said: “I am proud of our pupils as they have shown real enthusiasm and respect for their environment”.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services said: “I would like to thank those who helped to make Bargoed Park a cleaner and greener place to visit, especially the pupils of Park Primary who are an example for the rest of the school and the community to follow. Well done to everyone involved”.
The community clean up forms part of the environmental work delivered by Caerphilly County Borough Council to achieve the requirements of Welsh Government’s Well Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act.
