Residential Home Manager Achieves National Award
A residential home manager from Caerphilly county borough has won a prestigious award for her dedication to caring for older people.
Caroline Davies, Registered Manager of Ty Iscoed Residential Home for older people in Newbridge has won the prestigious ‘National Care Manager’ award during the National Care Awards 2016.
Caroline was nominated for the award by Dementia Care Matters, a national organisation, due to her commitment in delivering consistently outstanding care. Following the nomination, Caroline attended finalist interviews in London, where she was up against touch competition in order to scoop the top award.
Award winners at the National Care Awards 2016 were presented with their trophies by Keith Duffy of Boyzone, during a Gala Night at the Hilton London Metropole Hotel, attended by over 700 guests.
Caroline was also nominated for ‘Best Dementia Care Manager 2016 at the National Dementia Care Awards, a fantastic achievement.
Cllr Robin Woodyatt, Cabinet Member for Social Services said: “Congratulations to Caroline on achieving this prestigious award. This is a tribute to you and recognition of your hard work and the empathy you bring to it. Well done.”
The National Care Awards are organised by Caring Times magazine, a management magazine for the social care sector. Caring Times reflects the opinions of the Social Care sector, focusing on news affecting the private, public and not-for-profit providers of nursing and residential care. The awards are intended to highlight excellence an reward those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care. These national awards are well recognised and it is a fantastic achievement to get this far.
