Residents Are Invited To Have Their Say At Ystrad Mynach Workshop

Residents from Caerphilly county borough are being invited to have their say at any one of a number of public consultation events happening within the borough to help Caerphilly Council create the “Caerphilly YOU Want”. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Following the introduction of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 which became law in April, Caerphilly County Borough Council is keen to consult with residents via consultation workshops about ways in which the well-being of people in Wales can be improved. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The next workshop is being held at 10am in the Siloh Chapel in Ystrad Mynach on Thursday 25th August.. The workshop will focus on issues that are important to or impact on local communities in this area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Further local workshops are due to be held throughout the borough at: – ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

  • Caerphilly on Wednesday 7th September 2016 at 10am
  • Crosskeys on Tuesday 20th September 2016 at 6pm

Places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Those unable to attend the consultation workshop sessions can still have their say via an online survey focusing on the Caerphilly YOU Want which will be made available at www.caerphilly.gov.uk in both English and Welsh or by visiting www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=147091329202 for the English version and www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=147142984507 for the Welsh version. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The closing date for the online consultation is Friday 30th September. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Caerphilly Public Services Board which includes the Local Authority, local Health Board, Fire Service and Natural Resources Wales have a legal duty to put in place plans to safeguard the wellbeing of Caerphilly county borough residents and its future generations. As a result of the Act, Public Services must now also think more about the long term, work more effectively together and importantly work with local people to help create a Wales that we all want to live in, now and in the future. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
