Sport Caerphilly Helps Students Become Qualified Dance Leaders
13 students have successfully achieved a Sport Leaders Dance Leaders Level 1 qualification following a training course and assessment on Monday 8th August.
The course was held in conjunction with Sport Caerphilly and UDOIT Dance Foundation which offers students age 11 and over the opportunity to receive a level 1 Sports Leaders Dance Leaders qualification. The assessment was successfully passed by all 13 students who attended the assessment.
Students from Caerphilly, Bridgend, Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taf took part in the training course and assessment which involved delivering a 10 minute warm up to their peers in the presence of an independent assessor as well as completing a 1 hour leadership log. Now qualified, the students can assist the delivery of dance within their community setting.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services said: “Well done to everyone who successfully achieved their level 1 Sport Leaders Dance Leaders qualification following a training course and assessment. I look forward to seeing how they progress as Dance Leaders”.
