Sport Caerphilly Rewards Volunteers
Sport Caerphilly recently rewarded the efforts of their volunteers during a trip to Go Air trampoline park in Cardiff.
Over 90 young people were given the opportunity to take part in a 2 hour trampoline session at Go Air in Cardiff as a reward for the hard work and commitment that they have demonstrated towards Sport Caerphilly during the last year.
The Sport Caerphilly volunteers have completed over 4,500 hours of volunteering within school and local community sport sessions, which has contributed to Sport Caerphilly achieving over 80,000 participation visits within Caerphilly county borough. The volunteers have also enabled Sport Caerphilly to save over £52,000 in delivery costs.
Cllr Nigel George, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services said: “I am delighted that Sport Caerphilly has rewarded the fantastic efforts of their volunteers with a trip to Go Air, as this shows our volunteers how grateful we are for the dedication they show to the service each day. Thank you to all of Sport Caerphilly’s volunteers who have ensured that school and community sport sessions are able to run so successfully”.
