St Martin’s School Celebrates Pupil’s Achievements

St Martin’s School in Caerphilly has recently celebrated the best results ever achieved at the school with their 43rd awards evening at Caerphilly Castle. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The evening was held to celebrate the many talents and successes of the school’s pupils, staff and parents including fantastic school results and a successful ESTYN report. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Awards were given for a wide range of achievements, from the Head Teacher’s award to the Communities First award for family engagement. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Mr Lee Jarvis, Head Teacher of St Martin’s School said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and shared in what was a truly wonderful evening. St Martin’s School has once again shown what it is capable of with remarkable examination results worthy of a school with such a long established heritage”.
The prestigious event was attended by Hefin David AM, Wayne David MP and Newport Gwent Dragons players Elliott Dee and Josh Skinner. Musical pieces, drama spectacles and guest speakers also contributed to a truly memorable evening. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Derek Havard, Cabinet Member for Education and Lifelong Learning said: “Well done to St Martin’s School for a fantastic year of achievement. I am delighted that such fantastic results have been achieved and I look forward to seeing how it continues. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of pupils, staff and parents to ensure that our pupils achieve to the very best of their ability”. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
