Still Time To Nominate In Council Awards
Council tenants in the Caerphilly county borough have until 5pm on Friday 8th July to nominate themselves or their neighbours for a number of prestigious awards.
The council’s Transforming Lives and Communities Awards are being held for the third year. The awards recognise individuals and groups making a difference to the lives of council tenants in the county borough and the areas in which they live.
Caerphilly Homes, the council’s housing division, has also launched its first ever tenant gardening contest. The contest will include categories for best garden, best hanging basket / pot / container and best community garden.
Cllr David Poole, the council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said “Award winners will be announced at an annual Caerphilly Homes celebration event. The event provides an opportunity to recognise and give thanks to those people making a difference to the lives of council tenants and local communities.”
Entry forms are available from the Caerphilly Homes team by emailing or telephoning 01443 866493.
