Visit The Winding House museum for a real treat on Monday November 14th at 7pm to listen to a fascinating talk by historian and author Professor Gareth Williams followed by experiencing our magnificent Victorian winding engine running. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Located in New Tredegar, near Bargoed – with onsite parking and easy access, the Winding House Museum is a fascinating day out at any time– but this is your opportunity to join us at night! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Join us for only £2 per person to be treated to a talk by Professor Gareth Williams titled “When Was Wales” where he will consider what he regards as the most decisive year in the shaping and making of modern Wales. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

We are really looking forward to welcoming Gareth as one of Wales’ foremost social and cultural historians. You will then be able to witness our historic and impressive Victorian winding engine in motion, get the opportunity to talk with the volunteers who care for it and enjoy refreshments. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
