Trading Standards are warning residents of a possible phone scam

A man with an Indian accent is calling residents claiming to be from Pontypool council. He claims he’s calling in connection with a recent accident they may have been involved in and asks for personal information. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

We’re reminding residents not to give out any personal information over the phone. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
