Ty Sign Primary School Receive Award For High Standards Of Physical Education
Ty Sign Primary School are the third school in Wales to receive a prestigious Quality Mark by the Association for Physical Education due to the high standards of physical education that they deliver throughout the school.
The award recognises the high quality of P.E and the importance placed on its delivery, as well as the school’s ability to track pupil performance and that pupils independently identify suitable targets.
The award celebrates the findings within the inspection report, which stated: “The school provides many opportunities for pupils to take part in physical activities, such as in after school clubs that encourage pupils to participate in regular physical exercise”.
Alison Dacey, Head Teacher at Ty Sign Primary School said: “I am thrilled that we are just the third school in Wales to be given this very prestigious award. All the staff at Ty Sign Primary School work hard to provide our pupils with a well-balanced curriculum and this award will drive us onwards and upwards!”

The Quality Mark awarded to the school is indicative of the time and effort that staff members within the school dedicate to ensure that the standards of physical education remain high, both during P.E. lessons and in after school clubs”.
