Visitors came in their droves to experience the festive delights on offer throughout the town centre, with a selection of stalls and entertainment to suit everyone. Younger visitors enjoyed the street entertainment on offer, which included fun characters, reindeer, birds of prey, face painting, funfair rides, a nativity scene and much more. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A number of local groups were also welcomed back to the entertainment stage this year, with Cefn Hengoed Ladies Choir, Ystrad Male Voice Choir, Melody Makers and Recrock, along with Bedwas, Trethomas and Machen Brass Band and a number of local schools in fine voice to entertain visitors. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

A number of local businesses were delighted with the event’s success. Gaffaccino’s Coffee Shop commented, ‘Amazing day once again at the Christmas Fayre. Our fourth fayre in Ystrad Mynach and they keep getting bigger, better and busier. Thank you to Caerphilly County Borough Council for organising such a fab event in our lovely village”. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

C37 Coffee Shop and Catering added, “Want to say that the council put on an amazing Christmas market every year. My staff and I absolutely love it and we love the trade it brings for the village for all retailers and stall holders. The effort that must go into each market is outstanding. Thank you to the team for organising it”. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Ystrad Mynach Festive Fayre was organised by Gelligaer Community Council and supported by Caerphilly County Borough Council. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
