A special Babies Remembrance Service is to be held at 11.30am on June 26 in the Wenallt Chapel at Thornhill Crematorium. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The memorial service is supported by the Stillbirth and Neonatal Deaths Society (Sands) and led by Reverend Rhiannon Francis from the University Hospital of Wales Chaplaincy. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Bob Derbyshire, said: “This simple service will allow families who have experienced the loss of a baby a caring and supportive environment in which to come together in remembrance.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Memory cards can be written during the service and afterwards there will be an opportunity to place a memory pebble in the memory bowl in the Ilex Garden. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
