Rolling Road Closure Will Be In Place From 11.00am Tomorrow For Pride Cymru

Pride Cymru will be returning to Cardiff for the fifth year running tomorrow (Saturday) to celebrate the annual celebration of equality and diversity since it all begun in 1999. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A parade will take place in Cardiff city centre which will start at 11.00am. There will be a rolling road closure in place while the parade takes place. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The parade will start on Queen Street near to the junction with Churchill Way, they will then walk the length of Queen Street to the Castle and turn left onto St John Street/Working Street. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Parade will continue south, through the Hayes and onto Mill Lane, then turn right onto Lower St Mary Street. After travelling all the way up St Mary Street and onto High Street, they will turn left onto Castle Street. The parade will then travel west ending up at the west gate entrance to Bute Park by the Pettigrew Tea Room. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The parade is expected to take an hour and a half, so the rolling road closure is expected to end at approximately 12.30pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The following roads will be affected tomorrow from 11.00am until 12.30pm: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

• Duke Street (westbound)
• High Street (southbound)
• St Mary Street (northbound)
• Mill Lane (eastbound)
• The Hayes (northbound)
• Working Street (northbound)
• St John Street (northbound)
• Duke Street (westbound)
• Castle Street (westbound)
