A City of Cardiff Council spokesperson said: “The Council is happy to talk with interested parties about establishing a fanzone for the European Championships. Last year’s Rugby World Cup Fanzone is a case in point. The Council would welcome discussions with sponsors and organising bodies and would be happy to facilitate a fanzone, but cuts to council budgets over the years mean that we don’t have the funds to run a fanzone.
