Cardiff Metropolitan University Continues To Be Top New University In Wales
Cardiff Met has kept its position as top new University in Wales for the 8th year in a row in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017.
The university is also celebrating climbing 14 places up this national league table – now sitting comfortably in the top 100 UK universities in 89th position.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide is an annual publication which provides a comprehensive overview of higher education in Britain. Published on September 23rd, it includes an analysis of student satisfaction and the quality of the teaching at each institution.
Cardiff Met has also seen an improvement in graduate prospects. This measurement is up by 10.6 percentage points this year with 70.4% of graduates in professional jobs or graduate-level study six months after graduation.
Speaking about the achievement, Cardiff Met’s Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Jacqui Hare said:
“We are very pleased to retain our position as the top new university in Wales and I would like to thank each and every member of staff and student who has contributed to this accolade. It is also very encouraging to see that Cardiff Met has risen a very respectable 14 places in this influential league table.
“Looking to the future, we are constantly striving to build upon our successes and offer students the very best opportunities and support whilst they study with us. We hope to see this reflected and recognised in future league tables.”
