Building An Innovation System For Wales
How can Wales build a network of business innovation centres with the power to create jobs and grow the economy?
Four leading entrepreneurs and experts will present their views on new ways of working at a Cardiff University Innovation Network event on 7 December.
They will explore how Wales might develop a network of successful Innovation and Incubation Centres, housing everyone from sole traders, micros and SMEs to large and multinational corporates.
The meeting will hear from Gareth Jones, CEO, Welsh ICE (Innovation Centre for Enterprise); Victoria Norman, Founder of Signum Health; Dr Justin John, Head of Incubator Development at the Life Sciences Hub Wales, and Dr Nick Bourne, Head of Commercial Development at Cardiff University.

Nick Bourne, who also heads up Cardiff Innovation Network, added: “Innovation Centres provide innovative environments and create supportive communities essential for the economy and businesses to grow and prosper…”
The event will provide an overview of the success of Welsh ICE, consider the future of Innovation Centres in Wales, look at the role played by Cardiff University Innovation Centre, and share a user’s experience.
The free event is at the Postgraduate Teaching Centre, Cardiff Business School, Colum Drive, Cardiff. CF10 3EU, with registration at 6pm before presentations begin at 6.30pm.
