Carmarthenshire Year Of Adventure Continues
People can enjoy a ‘triple A’ experience in Carmarthenshire this summer – through Activities, Attractions and Adventure.
With just weeks left of the school summer holidays, tourism and leisure staff in the county council are urging both residents and visitors to make the most of each day.
As this is officially the Year of Adventure launched by Visit Wales, the theme is on fun and discovery.
Adventure can mean anything from a thrill-seeking challenge or taking up a new sport, to learning the art of cheese making or sampling seaweed gin, made locally.
Discover Carmarthenshire website has numerous suggestions for adventurous activities, information on attractions and a comprehensive what’s on guide.
There is also a video giving sweeping views of the county and offering ideas for people to try out.
Leisure and tourism executive board member Cllr Meryl Gravell said: “Carmarthenshire has a history of adventure – from the land speed records at Pendine to Amelia Earhart’s landing at Burry Port.
“There really is something for everyone here, whatever your age, ability, interest, there will be something for you.
“Check out the Discover Carmarthenshire website and the video for ideas and start your own adventure today.”
