Educate About Shed Security
Police will be out in the centre of Carmarthen next week helping people to learn more about how to keep their garden sheds secure.
Community Safety Officers will be carrying out a crime prevention initiative called Sheducate where they will have a shed on demonstration from a local company with security screws inserted.
The event will be held alongside the clock tower by Carmarthen Market next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (May 23-25) 10am to 3.30pm.
Carmarthenshire Community Safety Partnership has funded special security screws that will be used as part of the demonstration along with a vehicle number plate securing initiative.
Carmarthenshire County Council executive board member for Community Safety Cllr Pam Palmer said: “I would urge people to find out more about how to keep their property secure in their sheds. I’m pleased that the CSP has been able to support this timely initiative.”
