First Carms News E-Version Launched

The first e-version of community news publication Carms News is now available to view on the Carmarthenshire Public Services Board (PSB) website. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

You can view the Autumn edition online when you visit The Carmarthenshire We Want website. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Carms News is a PSB partnership publication, which is usually produced quarterly as a hard copy and distributed to every household in the county. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Now, two of these versions – Autumn and Spring – will be produced electronically. The Summer and Winter editions will continue to be produced as a hard copy. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Through Carms News the PSB, which involves all major organisations concerned with our county working together to help improve the health and well-being of all who live and work here, aims to provide residents with all the latest news and information from across Carmarthenshire. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Carmarthenshire County Council is one of the PSB partners. Others include Coleg Sir Gar, The University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Hywel Dda University Health Board, Dyfed Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Natural Resources Wales, CAVS, Welsh Government, National probation Service, Community Rehabilitation Company, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Arts Council of Wales, Police and Crime Commissioner. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

PSB Vice Chairman and Carmarthenshire council Leader Emlyn Dole said: “Welcome to the first e-edition of Carms News, a PSB publication. From now on we will be producing two e-versions per annum, whilst continuing with hard copies, delivered to every household, for the other two editions. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“This gives us the opportunity to share videos, slideshows, web clips and vlogs with people, along with articles and photographs. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The aim is to keep people informed about PSB activities and initiatives which affect them, and to provide information about the partners’ services and developments. In this edition we are focusing on safety, particularly as we approach Halloween and Bonfire Night, and also highlighting other initiatives. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
