Road Closure In Kidwelly

Bridge Street in Kidwelly will be closed from today (Monday, June 6) for up to five days for urgent road surface repairs to be carried out. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

It will be closed from a point one mile south of its junction with the A484 for a total distance of 330 metres in a southerly direction. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The registered bus services will operate as follows: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

X11 from Llanelli will divert on to the A 484, turn left on to Monksford Street, turn left on to Alstred Street and turn left on to Banc Pendre, pass Gravels Garage and Parc Pendre and back on to the A484 to Carmarthen. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

X11 from Carmarthen will turn left after Kingswood roundabout onto the A484, turn right into Monksford Street, left on to Alstred Street and left on to Banc Pendre and to Llanelli. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

198 service will divert at the end of Alstred Street and turn left, go on to the A484 bypass to Kingswood, turn left on to Carmarthen Road, on to Water Street and turn right on to Ferry Road to Llansaint. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The 198 service from Carmarthen will turn left at the junction of Ferry Road and Water Street, go up to Kingswood roundabout, turn right onto the A484 bypass, turn right on to Monksford Street and rejoin the service in Priory Street. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

QEH1 – Bro Myrddin / Queen Elizabeth High School: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Morning journeys will operate as normal through Priory Street, then go past the Co-op and out on to the main A484 opposite the Trimsaran turning, returning to the roundabout by Burns, entering Kidwelly as far as the Boot and Shoe, turning around in the Castle car park, then continuing as normal. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Afternoon journeys – the bus will proceed to the Boot and Shoe as normal, turn around at the Castle car park, return to the A484 at the Burns roundabout, entering Priory Street, and doing the loop past the Co-op as in the morning, but turning right on to the Mynydd y Garreg road to return towards Four Roads. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
