Summer Reading Challenge For Children
Children across Carmarthenshire are being challenged to read at least six books over the summer holidays.
The Summer Reading Challenge has started this week at all Carmarthenshire Libraries with the theme of the Big Friendly Read.
Llanelli library recently hosted a storytime and craft session to launch the Big Friendly Read. Local MP Nia Griffith was able to attend and enjoy the craft session with the children.
The Summer Reading Challenge will continue throughout the school holidays, just contact your local library to join in the fun.
All you have to do is: join the Library, be aged between 4-11, read six or more books of your choice during the summer holidays, receive a reward for every book completed, and there will be a certificate/medal for every child who completes six books.
Keep up to date with all the activities going on at Carmarthenshire libraries by visiting Carmarthenshire Libraries’ Facebook & Twitter.
