Two people fined for dropping litter

Another two people have been fined £75 for dropping litter.
Council environmental enforcement officers issued a fixed penalty notice to a man for dropping a plastic food container in the B&Q car park in Parc Trostre, Llanelli.
Another man was fined for dropping a drinks cup at the Leekes car park in Cross Hands.
Failure to pay could result in court prosecution where the maximum fine is £2,500.
Executive Board Member for Environmental and Public Protection Cllr Jim Jones said: “We don’t want to fine people, but we will not tolerate this type of anti-social behaviour.
“Dropping litter is not only against the law but it is unsightly, and can cause harm to the environment and animals.
“Our officers carry out patrols across the county and will take action against anyone seen dropping litter.”
