The 42-year-old, known also as SpecialK, smashed her 2009 world record by over 7mph at a meet of Carmarthenshire Land Sailing Club over the Easter weekend. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Karen said: “The dry and windy conditions, together with the fabulous Cefn Sidan beach, was perfect for my latest attempt. I’ve always wanted to get into the ‘50mph club’ and to see the figures captured on the GPS was such a fantastic feeling.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Carmarthenshire Land Sailing Club hold regular meets throughout the year and enjoys all types of kite flying, land yachting and other land sailing activities, including one-liners, stunt, kite boarding, kite buggying and kite surfing. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

It just goes to show the diversity of the park and beach is almost endless and is the perfect venue for many different types of events.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
