Garden Waste Collections Will Finish At The End Of November
The fortnightly garden waste collections will finish at the end of November and resume in April 2017.
Depending on your collection day and week, your garden collections will end on the following dates:
Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday | |
Week 1 | 21st November | 22nd November | 23rd November | 24th November | 25th November |
Week 2 | 28th November | 29th November | 30th November | 1st December | 2nd December |
Historically, MTCBC has always collected very low tonnages of garden waste during the winter months but householders who still generate garden waste can still take it to their nearest Household Waste and Recycling Centre, either in Aberfan or Dowlais, where it will be sent for composting.
Last year MTCBC collected 934 tonnes of garden waste through the kerbside recycling scheme. We would like to thank all those who have taken part in the garden waste collection service and those who continue to use the recycling services.
Further information will be communicated to residents in the New Year on when the service will recommence.
