Merthyr Tydfil Businesses Helped To Grow By Free Technology Workshop
Merthyr Tydfil companies are being offered support to grow their business through learning how to make better use of technology at a free workshop this Friday (August 19).
The event being run by the Welsh Government’s Superfast Business Wales service at the Orbit Business Centre will explain how businesses of any size can reduce costs and increase profits of digital technology.
People will learn more about pay-as-you-go cloud computing and internet-based telephone calls (VoIP), selling more to customers using social media, understanding customer needs, tracking buying habits and increasing customer retention with a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
“The workshop will give attendees information about how even a basic use of digital technology can help transform their business,” said Orbit Centre Manager Lance Whiteley.
The Technology for Business Growth event is taking place from 10.30am-12.30pm (registration from 10am).
“Merthyr Tydfil has one of the fastest growing business economies in South Wales, backed by a substantial investment programme,” Lance Whiteley added.
“Comprehensive business support is widely available, and the Orbit Centre has offices for new and growing businesses of all shapes and sizes, along with conference facilities, training rooms and meeting rooms.
“This event is one of a range organised by Superfast Business Wales with the aim of making as many Welsh businesses as possible tech-savvy.”
