Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council is currently undertaking consultation on the Youth Service provision in the North Cluster of Merthyr Tydfil (Gurnos, Galon Uchaf, Dowlais and Penydarren). ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Research in to restructuring the Youth Service has identified that the area is well served by voluntary sector provision, so we are currently asking people what they think of proposals to cease the Council’s statutory provision in those areas. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Dates have now been confirmed for drop-in sessions where members of the public can speak with officers involved in the proposals. The sessions are: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

  • Thursday 7th April: Dowlais Community Centre 4.30-6.30pm
  • Tuesday 12th April: Treharris Boys and Girls Club 4.30-6.30pm

There will also be a live Social Media session on Tuesday 3rd May from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, where you can ask questions via our Facebook page @Merthyr Tydfil CBC. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Alternatively you can access the proposal and survey online by visiting www.cwmtafhub.com and selecting ‘Live Surveys’. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The consultation closes on Tuesday 3rd May 2016. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
