Council Reduces Fees To Provide Boost For Housing Scheme

Monmouthshire County Council has reduced its administrative fees on interest-free home improvement loans to encourage participation in the scheme. Introduced last June, the loans were subject to an administrative fee of 15% but this was reduced to 8% in March. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Councillor Phil Hobson, Monmouthshire’s cabinet member with responsibility for housing said: “This is further great news and I’m sure a cut in administrative fees will encourage more homeowners and landlords to improve their properties”. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
