Councillor Liz Hacket Pain, the cabinet member for Schools and Learning will report to council next week on the latest stage in the 21st Century Schools building programme. Wales Government, the council’s partner in this project, has made available further funding of over £5million toward this multi-million pound programme, the key priority of this administration. She will ask the council next Thursday (20th October) to provide match-funding to enable the completion of these cutting edge schools. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Cllr Hacket Pain commented: “I’m pleased with the progress on the delivery of the new schools. This is one of the largest construction projects in Wales, one which will bring fantastic opportunities to thousands of our young people in the future.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
