GAVO’s Volunteering Team Manager and Coordinator (Monmouthshire), Clare Jones said: “By working together, we aim to make this event a bigger and far-reaching celebration, recognising those people or groups who invest their time and passion in our communities. If you know someone who volunteers in Monmouthshire and deserves a big ‘Thank You’ please make a nomination.” Councillor Bob Greenland, Monmouthshire’s cabinet member with responsibility for innovation added: “Volunteers share thousands of hours across our county, improving people’s lives and the communities in which they live. The Volunteer Achievement Awards evening gives us the opportunity to recognise and highlight the work of volunteers and the impact they make.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The evening’s event will be incorporated into the Pride of Monmouthshire Awards which also includes a celebration of the county’s young people and the successful Monmouthshire Sports Awards. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
