Family Information Service Launches New Mascot And Trailer
Neath Port Talbot Council’s Family Information Service has launched a new mascot and trailer to promote its service.
The new mascot, known as Sheldon, and his trailer have been introduced to head up a promotional campaign for the family dedicated service in the Neath Port Talbot area. Sheldon, the bright blue cartoon character will be towing his fun and colourful walk-in trailer around the borough giving out freebies and family related information.
The Family Information Service provides the latest details on what is available for families on a range of topics including childcare, education, learning services, health and wellbeing services, play, leisure, youth services and lots more. The Service aims to help parents, carers and professionals that work with young people and children. The Service also has its own website which holds a directory of family related services, a local events listing and a library of useful publications.
Sheldon and his trailer will be visiting various places across the borough during the half-term holidays to meet and talk to families. Don’t miss your chance to have your photo taken with Sheldon as he visits Margam Park on 26th October, Gnoll Park on 27th October, and Angel Square in Neath on 28th October.
Councillor Ali Thomas OBE, Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council said:
“The Family Information Service is a useful resource for both parents and professionals. I would urge all families to come and meet Sheldon during the school holidays and find out more about this fantastic free service. ”
