Information On Fire At Waste Tyre Dump Port Talbot

An Emergency Temporary Road Closure has been put in place for Afan Way, A4241 Harbour Way and Water Street, Aberavon. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Afan Way will be closed to south bound traffic from the junction of Victoria Road in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 370m to roundabout at the junction of Water Street ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Water Street will be closed from the roundabout at the junction of Afan Way in an easterly direction for approximately 150m along its length to the junction of Green Park. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A4241 will be closed east and west bound traffic from the junction of Water Street for a distance of approximately 450m east along its length. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Temporary Diversion Route: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The alternative Route for vehicular traffic north bound will be via the unaffected section of A4241,Water Street and Victoria Road ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Similarly this route will be the same in the reverse direction ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
