Maintenance Works On A48 Earlswood Junction – Traffic Signals Upgrade
Highway junction improvement works to upgrade the traffic signals at the A48 Junction A483 (Earlswood junction) and essential maintenance to the bridge joints on the old A48 Briton Ferry Bridge will commence on Monday 13th February 2017 for approximately 14 weeks. Work will be undertaken at the junction of A48 Briton Ferry Bridge and A483 Fabian Way.
These are essential maintenance works and are required to maintain the safe operation of the junction.
Expansion joint works on Briton Ferry Bridge will be undertaken during the same period.
Traffic management will be in place to protect the workforce and manage the flow of traffic and every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to road users.
The works will be undertaken primarily at night between the hours of 8pm and 6am utilising lane and full road closures and reduced speed limits.
These prohibitions will not be in place all the time but will be used as and when required.
During the closures, signed local diversions will be in place and advance notification signs will be provided. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
SWTRA anticipate updates will be provided as required and when there are notable changes in programme duration.
