Students gain mock interview experience

Three six formers at a Neath Port Talbot school have been getting top class advice from a local engineering company.
Students from Ystalyfera Comprehensive School were linked with Pebble Engineering, a thriving consultancy based at the Sandfields Business Centre.
As part of their course work the students took part in mock interview sessions with company director Huw Howell which were filmed by their teacher, Ann Lewis.
At the end of each session the students were provided with feedback from Mr Howell and given detailed information on CV writing and interview techniques.
The project was developed by the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Team under the banner of the Exploring Enterprise Programme.
Councillor Ali Thomas OBE, Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council said: “It is great to see students gaining interview experience in readiness for when they leave school. Working in partnership with local businesses to deliver these opportunities is invaluable to students.
Mrs Lewis said: “it was a very interesting and valuable experience for the students.”
