15,000 Bottles Of Water Delivered To Schools
Pupils taking GCSEs in Pembrokeshire’s secondary schools next week (16th May onwards) will each have a bottle of Princes Gate water to hand, thanks to a new scheme.
The Narberth-based company has delivered 15,000 bottles to the eight schools as part of a joint initiative with the County Council.
The ‘Hydrate2Concentrate’ scheme aims to help keep pupils hydrated during their exams.
Public Health Wales, which supports the project, says studies show mental performance can deteriorate by as much as 10% when people are thirsty or dehydrated.
Cllr Sue Perkins, Cabinet Member for Education and Safeguarding, said: “We are very pleased to be associated with Princes Gate in this initiative and helping to ensure that our students can work to the best of their ability during their GCSEs.”
Juliana Morgans, sales and customer care executive at Princes Gate, said: “There are many studies that highlight the importance of keeping hydrated, but even more so during periods of exams.”
