Behind-The-Scenes Glimpse For Pupils

Pupils from Roch School were given an insight into the working of Pembrokeshire County Council when they visited County Hall in Haverfordwest. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The group were invited by the Authority’s Chairman, Tony Brinsden, as part of European Local Democracy Week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The toured various departments within the building and the visit concluded with a question and answer session in the Council chamber. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Class teacher Miss Moszoro said: “The children had an interesting morning finding out about different roles with County Hall. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“They particularly enjoyed the discussion which took place in the Council chamber giving them a true flavour of what happens in their local council.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
