Children Design Christmas Cards For The Mayor
A colourful display of Christmas cards has been greeting visitors to Pembroke Library and Tourist Information Centre over the festive season, thanks to children from Monkton Priory Community School.
Pupils from all classes were invited by the Library to design a Christmas card for the Mayor of Pembroke.
Three winning cards were chosen from each class, and the children who created them were all invited to the Library yesterday (Thursday).
They were congratulated on their designs by librarian Stuart Croxford, and presented them with their prizes – book bags containing books, sweets and other gifts.
Two overall winning cards were also selected – the original designs of which will be presented to the Mayor of Pembroke, Cllr Dennis Evans, next week.
All the cards will be on display during library opening hours at Pembroke until Christmas Eve.
