Children’s Social Services Recently Held A STARS Awards Event
Pembrokeshire County Council’s Children’s Social Services recently held a STARS Awards event.
The acronym stands for Sharing Talent And Recognising Success and the evening celebrated the achievements, talents and successes of children, young people and foster carers supported by Pembrokeshire County Council.
Held at Pembrokeshire College, there were awards for Learners of the Year, Personal Development, Outstanding Achievement and a Your Choice category to be chosen by those nominating the person for the award.
Celebrations compered by Simon and Gabriel Haslam included live music and entertainment followed by the ceremony itself in the Merlin Theatre.
Awards were presented by the Council’s Chief Executive, Ian Westley; Jonathan Griffiths (Head of Adult Care); Allison Parkinson (Head of Children’s Services) and Nichola Jones (Head of Inclusion).
It culminated in a free raffle draw with prizes donated by numerous local businesses.
