Christmas Trees Collected

A trial Christmas tree collection service resulted in over 400 trees being amassed for composting. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The service, funded through a Welsh Government Grant and delivered by Frame meant over 3,000kg of trees were collected and shredded before the composting process began. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“It’s fair to say this trial service was well received and we’re delighted with the amount of trees that were collected,” said Cabinet Member for the Environment, Councillor Huw George. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The funding allowed us to carry out this trial but just as importantly, it allowed three individuals to be trained in the use of machinery and as a result they have gained valuable experience for the future.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
