County Hall Welcome For Pupils
A group of pupils from Ygsol Gymunedol Wdig / Goodwick Community School visited County Hall in Haverfordwest on Tuesday.
They were guests of Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman, Tony Brinsden.
The pupils were accompanied by headteacher Jonathan Jones; learning support assistant Mrs Marilyn Watson and Goodwick County Councillor Gwilym Price.
The visit around the building concluded with a question and answer session in the Council chamber with Councillor Brinsden.
Mr Jones said afterwards: “We found the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile. It gave the pupils an excellent insight to the working of Pembrokeshire’s County Council and its various departments.
“All the staff we met were accommodating and extremely helpful and made the children feel welcome. They gave very child friendly explanations of their roles and duties. It was a first class visit.”
The visit coincided with European Local Democracy Week.
