Deadline Approaching For Reception School Places
Parents of children who will have their 5th birthday between 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018 need to apply for a place for their child at the reception class at their preferred primary school very soon – if they haven’t done so already.
The closing date for all reception applications is 31st January.
Application forms need to be submitted to the Admissions Officer at Pembrokeshire County Council.
The requirement applies to all children born between 1st September 2012 and 31st August 2013.
School places are not automatically allocated, even if the child has older siblings at the school and lives in the catchment area.
If an application misses the deadline, parents could miss out on their preferred school, because late applications will not be considered until all the applications received on time have been dealt with. By then, the year group might be full.
Parents will be informed of the decision on 18th April 2017
