Get Online Week At Pembrokeshire Libraries!
‘Get Online’ week is back!
Libraries in Pembrokeshire will be holding a variety of events as part of the national campaign.
Whether you’re looking for help making better use of the internet to find work or save money, or if you’d like support getting a friend or family member online, there’ll be an event near you.
Activities include ‘IT and Tea Gadget Drop-in Sessions’, a one-off family history workshop, and activities for children.
IT and Tea Gadget Drop-in Sessions:
If you need help managing your laptop, tablet or smartphone, these sessions are ideal for you.
Digital Champion volunteers can help you set up an email account, manage your digital photographs and much more.
The sessions take place on:
- Monday 17th October 10am-12pm at Tenby Library
- Wednesday 19th October 10am-12pm at Haverfordwest Library
- Wednesday 19th October 2pm-4pm at Milford Haven Library
- Thursday 20th October 10am-12pm at Fishguard Library
- Wednesday 26th October 10am-12pm at Pembroke Dock Library
There are also weekly sessions throughout the year at Fishguard, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven and Tenby Libraries and fortnightly sessions at Pembroke Dock Library – please contact your library for more details.
Family history workshop:
A special one-off Family History Website workshop will be held at Pembroke Dock Library on Tuesday 25th October (2pm-5pm).
The session will introduce some recommended family history websites, followed by the opportunity to do some research.
The workshop is run in partnership with Pembrokeshire Archives and Local Studies.
Children’s activities:
Learn how to build and program a Lego Robot at Haverfordwest Library on Tuesday 18th October (4pm-6pm).
And why not join the Minecraft Club in Milford Haven Library on Thursday 20th October (4.30pm-5.30pm)?
Booking is essential for both events, which are suitable for children aged 8+ and parents are welcome too.
