Mary Immaculate RC School in Haverfordwest have been crowned Urdd Regional School Netball Champions and will go on to represent Pembrokeshire at the National Finals, to be held in Aberystwyth later this month. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

At the regional event held recently at the Bloomfield Centre in Narberth, they achieved a 100 per cent winning record against five other schools in a keenly contested competition. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

What makes this achievement more remarkable is that it is the the eleventh consecutive year Mary Immaculate School have won the regional event while they have won fifteen out of the sixteen years since the year 2000. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They put their success down to the hard work of the pupils, the PE teaching at the school and quality coaching over the years from teachers such as Lynn Hart, Helen Townsend and Kelly Joseph. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They have an impressive record in the National Finals too, winning on two occasions and reaching the finals five times. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They will be hoping to match this success again when they fly the Pembrokeshire flag in Mid Wales. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
