Proposed Change To The Conservation Area Boundary

Pembrokeshire County Council is consulting on a proposed change to the Fishguard Conservation area boundary at the former Junior School site at West Street Fishguard. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The site is also included within the ‘Chimneys Link Masterplan’, which has recently been the subject of a pre-application consultation exercise. Conservation Area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Consent has already been granted by Welsh Government in 2015 for the demolition of the Fishguard Junior School, and subject to conditions (reference 14/1012/CA). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Authority is inviting comments on the proposed amendment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

There will be a drop-in session with an opportunity to discuss the proposed change with officers of the County Council at Fishguard Town Hall on December 15th between 10am and 3pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
