Pupils Road Test Footpath

Pupils and staff at Johnston primary are looking forward to the opening of their new school in January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

On Tuesday morning – as an early Christmas present – pupils visited the school and, as part of the visit, they were accompanied by staff along the safe route that has been included in the construction of the new facility. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“It was a practical lesson for pupils on how to follow the footpath to the new 21st Century school” explained headteacher Gareth Thomas. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The walk to the new school was supported by Pembrokeshire County Council’s transport directorate and local police community support officers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
