Register to vote in this year’s Elections and Referendum
Householders in Pembrokeshire are being reminded to ensure they are registered to vote in the forthcoming National Assembly for Wales and Police and Crime Commissioners elections.
The two elections are taking place on the same day, Thursday, 5th May.
At the National Assembly for Wales election, residents will be able to vote for constituency and regional Assembly Members.
These are the politicians responsible for making laws for Wales in a wide range of areas including health, education and housing.
The Police and Crime Commissioner oversees the Dyfed Powys Police Force.
The deadline to register to vote is Monday, 18th April.
As well as those two elections, householders will also need to be on the Electoral Register in order to take part in the ‘In-Out’ European Union referendum being held on Thursday, 23rd June.
Ian Westley, Electoral Registration Officer for Pembrokeshire, said: “Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible so they can have their say on issues that affect their day-to-day lives.
“It only takes a few minutes to register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote”
Those who prefer to apply using a paper form can download a copy from the same website address.
