Relief Road Work Starts
Work has begun on construction of the Maidenwells relief road.
The main contractor on the £1.5 million scheme, Narberth-based GD Harries and Sons Limited, arrived on site in November.
The project is due to be completed by next summer and will remove 90 per cent of freight vehicles which currently drive through the village.
The existing road through Maidenwells is the most direct route to the energy sites at the Valero refinery and Pembroke power station.
The 850-metre long highway is being funded by Pembrokeshire County Council.
